Salona 41 Yacht

The Salona 41 is combining all the latest innovations implemented by our company in recent years, giving us a clear lead on our competition. Her sleek deck lines follow her older sister the Salona 44 giving a spacious and obstacle free cockpit with an easily convertible closed to open transom.

Designed by J&J in collaboration with the in-house Salona development team and with special planning input sought from Maurizio Cossutti (the well-known Italian designer, sailor and race enthusiast), the Salona 41 represents a real team achievement. From a build viewpoint the exciting newly introduced construction techniques are very exciting and the end result offers comfort fused with safety and stunning performance, conforming to all IRC and ORC rules. Delightfully sleek of line, marrying good looks with an eminently practicable, spacious, clear cockpit and an easily convertible closed to open transom the Salona 41 positively invites you to examine all her features.

The two steering wheels are a trade mark of this comfortable boat with absolutely no compromise on sailing equipment. An easily adjustable genoa and mainsheet system helps in trimming sails and gives you ability to furl the genoa without sending crew forward to adjust the leech, this together with single line reefing mainsail gives total "all from cockpit" security and sailing potential. The beautifully arranged Harken under deck furler lets you take full advantage of the wind and with her narrow lines and low displacement allows you to fully use the 140% genoa in as little as 5 kts of wind instead of resorting to motoring.

Construction is one of strong points of the Salona yard. A big stainless steel frame takes loads from the keel and shrouds and spreads them securely to a wide area of the hull. The slamming zone is single skin to avoid shear failure of core material under heavy loads, the area is additionally reinforced with layers of triax E-glass fabric. The deck is sandwich built with a structural design incorporating a ceiling inner liner to better withstand high longitudinal and transverse loads. The construction is stiff, strong and light giving a very seaworthy boat which will withstand high loads from rig, wind and sea conditions.

Below deck is an ambient mixture of spaciousness, comfortable head room (195cm), tasteful furnishings and hand selected matt finished woods. The standard layout (there are four layouts to choose from) offers a well equipped portside galley, a comfortable saloon area (with convertible table to give an extra 205cm berth) and full size navigation station. There is a very spacious owner’s cabin, large stern heads and comfortable double aft cabin. The comfortable interior arrangement has been built with on board living in mind as typified in the owner’s cabin which is equipped with three hatches, each fitted with mosquito nets and dark shade plates, two big under seat lockers with large shelves above and a full size 210 cm berth. There is a self-priming under floor bilge pump with the added ability to switch over to a 3m long pipe for vacuum draining of all bilge and engine compartments.
